Natursutten® Glass Baby Bottles are made in France of borosilicate glass. Glass is the safer choice for your baby, free of BPA / BPS and other harmful chemicals that can leach from plastic bottles.

The bottle

Dishwasher-safe and thermal shock-resistant, Natursutten's bottles withstand extreme temperature changes, like boiling or freezing.

The bottle nipples

Are made in Italy of all-natural rubber. The softness of the nipple's natural rubber creates a feeding experience that closely simulates breastfeeding, and the bottle's anti-colic double-valve ensures a more even milk flow, preventing colic and gas.

Natursutten's promise

All parts are free of BPA, phthalates, polycarbonates, and PVC.

Each bottle comes with a slow-flow nipple.

  • Always use this product with adult supervision.
  • Never use feeding teats as a soother.

  • Always check food temperature before feeding.
  • Glass bottles may break.
  • Keep all parts not in use out of the reach of children.
  • Produced from natural rubber latex which might cause allergic reactions.

Before first use

For hygienic reasons place nipples in boiling water for 5 minutes, followed by a gentle wash in lukewarm water with a mild liquid soap added.

Before each use

  • Inspect before each use and pull bottle nipples in all directions to check for cracks and holes. Throw away at the first sign of damage or weakness.
  • Always clean before use.
  • Separate and wash in lukewarm water with mild liquid soap.

Heating

  • After filling, place the baby bottle in a container of hot water, until the content has reached the desired temperature.
  • Place rubber nipple after heating.
  • Avoid overheating, and shake bottle well after heating to ensure an even temperature. Always control temperature on own wrist before use.

How to use the bottle

  • To minimise the risk of swallowing excess air when using the baby bottle we recommend to use the enclosed double valve. The bottle however is fully usable with out the valve.
  • Place the nipple carefully inside the ring followed by the anti-colic double valve (top up). Fill the bottle and place the ring including bottle nipple and anti colic valve on the bottle and tighten well.
  • Please follow instructions from manufacturer of baby milk formula.
  • Keep the baby in a semi upright position supporting the head and neck. The child must not be placed in a lying down position when using the bottle, as it might cause ear infections.
  • The bottle must always be kept in a position where the nipple is filled, preventing the baby from swallowing air when feeding.
  • Never put the baby to bed with a bottle, as accidents have occurred.

Take care of your nipple

  • The nipple should be replaced every 6-8 weeks in order to keep the best standard of hygienic and safety. Please pay careful attention and examine all parts regularly for dents and cracks.
  • Avoid leaving the nipples in direct sunlight, heat or with disinfectants for longer than recommended as it might make weaken the nipple.
  • Do not try to enlarge the hole in the nipple as it might get hurt hereby. We have nipples with bigger holes.
Why should I buy a glass bottle over a plastic or metal one?Glass is the safer choice for baby bottles: Unlike plastic, it can't leach chemicals into milk or juice (including BPA / BPS). Unlike plastic, it doesn't scratch — and scratches can harbour bacteria. Glass is also the greener choice: It's reusable and recyclable — plastic bottles typically end up in landfills when their useful life is over. Finally, with glass there's no unpleasant plastic or metallic taste.
Where are Natursutten bottles and components made? The all-natural rubber nipples, along with the plastic ring, cap, seal, and anti-colic double-valve, are all made exclusively in Italy. Natursutten borosilicate glass bottles are made in France. The plastic parts are all made from PP with is short for polypropylene. We continuously search new options as we to aim at being as plastic free, eco-friendly and biodegradable as possible but so far this is the best we can do.
How do I wash / sterilise the bottle and its parts before first use?Boil or run the bottle through the dishwasher initially to sterilise. All parts, except the natural nipples—are dishwasher-safe. (Of course, they can also be hand-washed.) Nipples should be sterilised for 5 minutes initially in boiling water.
How do I clean it for everyday use?The glass bottle, cap, ring, seal, and double-valve are all dishwasher-safe, or can be hand-washed. The natural rubber nipple should be hand-washed under cold, running water using a mild liquid soap, not in the dishwasher.
Are your products microwave-safe?Natursutten glass baby bottles and plastic parts are all microwave-safe. The natural rubber nipple is not. So please remove the nipple and plastic cap when microwaving. One note: It's difficult to heat liquid evenly in a microwave. However, if you do choose to microwave, we recommend shaking the liquid after heating to eliminate any hot spots, then testing the temperature on your wrist.
What kind of nipple is on Natursutten bottles?Natursutten nipples are made of 100% natural rubber from the rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis. They are made right alongside the Natursutten pacifiers, in Natursutten's production facility in Italy.
Your new baby bottles say they are 'thermal shock-resistant.' What does this mean?'Thermal shock-resistant' means the glass is stronger and can withstand extreme temperature-changes (from boiling to freezing) without breaking. Natursutten bottles are made with pharmaceutical-grade borosilicate glass, which is more expensive, purer, and higher-quality than most glass baby bottles, which are made with soda lime. For mothers who pump and store breast milk, Natursutten bottles can go from freezer to refrigerator to hot water, all in one step.
What safety certifications do Natursutten baby bottles have?Natursutten takes infant safety very seriously. All Natursutten products go through very thorough testing by ConsumerLab in Denmark. Their bottles and nipples are in compliance with European requirements EN14350 and CPSIA 2008, and 16 CFR 1500 in the U.S.
Do Natursutten bottles have a venting system?Yes, Natursutten bottles have an anti-colic 'double-valve' designed to ensure a more even milk-flow and prevent colic and gas — making feeding go more smoothly.
Does Natursutten sell more than one nipple flow?Natursutten nipples are available in two types: Slow-Flow and Fast-Flow, both sold separately in 2-packs.
Your nipples are not marked according to flow. How do I tell them apart?Flow rate is determined by the size of the opening: Natursutten Slow-Flow nipples have a single hole, and the Fast-Flow nipples have a Y-shaped hole. It's easy to tell the difference. (And, of course, the packaging is marked differently.)
Will other nipples fit this bottle?Yes, any standard-size nipple will fit on Natursutten bottle. However, wide-neck nipples will not fit.
Will Natursutten natural rubber nipples fit other baby bottles?Natursutten natural rubber nipples will fit most standard-sized baby bottles. If you want to use Natursutten nipples with another brand of baby bottles, please remember to include the anti-colic double-valve, as the nipples are designed to include the valve for attachment. The nipples do not fit wide-neck bottles.
